Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, an Mexican American journalist. She works as an ESPN anchor on news, and she hosts SportsNation often. She joined ESPN in the year 2016. She is the daughter of the TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins was a bilingual since she was nine years old, a valuable talent that enabled her to get her first position as a production assistant for Univision in Miami that gave her the opportunity to interact with producers of national television shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. She was hired as an reporter at The CBS St. Petersburg affiliate immediately following the interview. The year 2009 saw her move to Rio Grande Valley, Texas in order to be journalist for the Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. She divorced her parents shortly after and in 1995, she was married to a naval designer named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. She resided with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister throughout the summer which was the time she received an opportunity to work. As a senior in high school, and knowing exactly what she would like to accomplish in her future, Antonietta attended the University of Mount Union to examine if it was a good fit for her requirements. It was discovered that she loved the campus, and the university offered the program she desired. She completed her schooling and received a scholarship to the University to pursue a degree in Media studies. She developed a long-lasting relationship with her professor Mark Bergmann who was the manager of WRMU 91.1 FM, of which she was a participant. Mark's passion for journalism and her self-confidence prompted her. Herself was determined to achieve his expectations and never disappoint him.
